Hebrews 1:1-2

“In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets many times and in various ways.  But now in these last days, He has spoken to us by his Son whom He appointed heir of all things through whom He made the universe." 



Hebrews 1:3

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and exact representation of his being sustaining all things by his powerful word.”

 

1.  Jesus modeled a relationship with God the Father


“This is my beloved Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”  Matthew 3:17



2.  Jesus taught us about God the Father



“When you pray, pray like this:  Our Father in heaven...”  Matthew 6:9



“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:16



“If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.”  John 14:9



3.  Jesus made possible our way to become God’s child



Galatians 4:4-5 

“But when time had fully come God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law to redeem those under the law that we might receive the full rights of being his child.”



Galatians 4:6-7

“Because you are his child, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit calls out, “Abba, Father.”  So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child...”
